A decorative late Victorian moulded faience plaque, finished in a rich green glaze and cast in high relief. The central oval panel depicts cherubs playing around a goat, surrounded by an ornate Rococo Revival border of scrolling foliage and floral ornament.
Executed in the aesthetic taste popular during the late 19th century, the plaque displays crisp moulded detail beneath an attractive mottled green glaze, making it an appealing decorative wall piece. The reverse is unmarked.
A charming example of Victorian decorative art, well suited to both traditional and eclectic interiors.
